Ryan Reynolds & Matt Damon’s Fantasy Comedy Movie Arrives on Netflix Today
Netflix subscribers can now finally watch one of Paramount Pictures’ most star-studded movies from 2024, featuring Ryan Reynolds and Matt Damon. They first worked together in 2018’s Deadpool 2, where Damon had an uncredited cameo appearance. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the fantasy comedy film was still positively received by moviegoers. It currently holds a Popcornmeter score of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes.
What Ryan Reynolds movie is now available on Netflix?
As of today, Reynolds’ 2024 movie IF is now available to stream on Netflix. It was written, directed, and produced by John Krasinski, based on his original idea about a child’s journey in rediscovering their imagination. The A-list cast also included Krasinski, Steve Carell, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Cailey Fleming, Matthew Rhys, Louis Gossett Jr., Matt Damon, Jon Stewart, Emily Blunt, Sam Rockwell, Richard Jenkins, Maya Rudolph, Awkwafina, Christopher Meloni, Blake Lively, Keegan-Michael Key, Bradley Cooper, George Clooney, Amy Schumer, and Sebastian Maniscalco.
“IF is a heartwarming and hilarious tale about a girl who discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends, known as IFs,” reads the synopsis. “She embarks on a magical journey to reconnect forgotten IFs with their kids, before they disappear. An adventure you’ll need to believe to see, IF is perfect for the whole family.”
The film was produced by Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, and Andrew Form through their Sunday Night banner, along with Reynolds for Maximum Effort. George Dewey also served as an executive producer via Maximum Effort. During its theatrical run, the film grossed over $190 million at the global box office against a reported budget of around $110 million.
