Jason Statham Combats Human Trafficking in Mutiny Trailer
Lionsgate has revealed the first trailer for the upcoming Jason Statham action movie, Mutiny. Mutiny is set to release on August 21, 2026.
“The film follows Cole Reed (Statham), who after seeing his billionaire industrialist boss murdered in front of him, is set up to take the fall for the crime — leaving him on the run as he works to uncover an international conspiracy,” reads the official synopsis of the movie.

What happens in the Mutiny trailer?
The trailer follows the story of Cole Reed (Statham), a former police officer serving under his father, who is investigating a human trafficking ring on a boat. The trailer highlights several big action scenes, with Statham looking to not only save the people on board, but also going up against people looking to stop him from doing so.
Alongside Statham, Mutiny also stars Annabelle Wallis, Roland Møller, and Jason Wong. The movie is directed by Jean-François Richet and written by Lindsay Michel and J.P. Davis.
Best known for leading a number of action movies since the 2000s, Statham has made a name for himself in the genre with notable roles in The Transporter, The Italian Job, Crank, Turn It Up, Chaos, The One, The Bank Job, Revolver, Safe, Wild Card, Death Race, The Mechanic, The Meg, Wrath of Man, and The Beekeeper.
The actor is also known for starring as Lee Christmas in the The Expendables film series and as Deckard Shaw in the Fast & Furious franchise (Fast & Furious 6, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and Fast X).
