Elden Ring Set Video Reveals Integral Setting in A24 Video Game Movie
A new set video from Elden Ring reveals an important setting from the A24 video game movie.
What does the Elden Ring set video reveal?
On TikTok, user Throx shared several videos from the Elden Ring set. One of the videos shows the ruins of the Church of Marika. This integral church is dedicated to Queen Marika the Eternal, arguably the most prestigious character in Elden Ring. Queen Marika is the vessel of the Elden Ring.
Throx shared more set videos from afar as the movie prepares to begin filming soon. According to World of Reel, cameras are supposed to start rolling this week.
In May 2025, A24 and Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that an Elden Ring live-action movie was in development with writer and director Alex Garland. Producers include Peter Rice, Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich, George R. R. Martin, and Vince Gerardis.
“Elden Ring was created under the guidance of FromSoftware’s Hidetaka Miyazaki, based on a mythological story written by George RR Martin, author of the fantasy novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire,” the official statement read. “To bring the epic world and intense action of Elden Ring to film, the project will be led by filmmaker Alex Garland as writer and director.”
Released in 2022, Elden Ring is an action video game set in a fantasy world. It follows a character on a quest to repair the Elden Ring and become the new Elden Lord. The game has sold over 30 million copies.
A24 has not announced the cast. However, Kit Connor was reportedly in talks to star. Connor appeared in 2025’s Warfare, A24’s war film from Garland and Ray Mendoza.
Garland’s partnership with A24 continues on Elden Ring. The filmmaker has directed Ex Machina, Men, Civil War, and Warfare for the studio.
Elden Ring does not have a release date.
