Dinosaur Movie With Sequel on the Way Hits Hulu Today

Hulu expands its movie library with the addition of one of 2025’s action-packed dinosaur movies. This comes ahead of the sci-fi horror film’s upcoming sequel, which is expected to start filming this spring in Australia.

What dinosaur movie is now available on Hulu?

As of today, Luke Sparke‘s 2025 sci-fi war film, Primitive War, is officially available to stream on Hulu. The movie was directed, written, and produced by Sparke, based on Ethan Pettus’s 2017 novel. The ensemble cast also included Kwanten, Tricia Helfer, Nick Wechsler, Jeremy Piven, Lincoln Lewis, Ana Thu Nguyen, Anthony Ingruber, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, Jake Ryan, Carlos Sanson Jr., Marcus Johnson, Henry Nixon, and Aaron Glenane. Since its debut, it has garnered a Popcornmeter score of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes.

“The film follows a search and rescue team known as Vulture Squad, who’s sent to an isolated jungle valley to uncover the fate of a missing Green Beret platoon,” reads the official synopsis. “As they hunt through the primordial depths of the valley, they discover ancient horrors that not only threaten to unravel their minds but their lives too when they discover they are not alone.”

The sequel will once again be written, directed, and produced by Sparke under his Sparke Films banner. Besides Sparke, the first installment’s creative team and producers are also coming back, including producer Carmel Imrie and executive producer Geoff Imrie for Let It Be Entertainment, along with producers Carly Sparke and Alex Becconsall. At the moment, the creative team is targeting a 2027 release date for the next installment.
