Gerard Butler‘s movies, How to Train Your Dragon 1 and 2, are set to leave the streaming platform Netflix soon. Butler voiced the character of Stoick in the two movies. The animated movies by DreamWorks became one of the most successful ventures in the animation genre, collectively making approximately $1.1 billion.

According to a report by What’s on Netflix, How to Train Your Dragon 1 and 2 are leaving Netflix on May 1. The movies featured talents like Gerard Butler, Jay Baruchel, Cate Blanchett, America Ferrera, Jonah Hill, and many more.

Both How to Train Your Dragon Parts 1 and 2 became highly successful at the box office. Based on a reported budget of $165 million, How to Train Your Dragon 1, which was released in March 2010, made around $217 million at the domestic box office. At the international box office, it made around $277 million, bringing the movie’s total collection to $494 million.

On the other hand, How to Train Your Dragon Part 2, which came out in June 2014, was made on a reported budget of $145 million. However, it went on to do a collection of $177 million at the domestic box office. The movie made around $444 million at the international box office and took its total collection to $621 million.

How to Train Your Dragon Part 1 got a near-perfect score of 99 percent on Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes, based on critic reviews. On Popcornmeter, it received a score of 91 percent based on audience reviews.

Moreover, its successor, How to Train Your Dragon Part 2, managed to earn a similar score of 92 percent on the Tomatometer, based on critics’ reviews. It went on to get a score of 90 percent on the Popcornmeter, based on audience reviews.
