Toy Story 5 Cast Won’t Feature Beloved Actor Despite Deadline Report

Ahead of Toy Story 5‘s theatrical debut, it has been confirmed that the highly anticipated animated movie won’t include a rumored actor. Disney will be releasing the next installment of Pixar‘s blockbuster franchise on June 19, 2026.

“The toys are back, and this time it’s Toy meets Tech. Buzz, Woody, Jessie, and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they’re introduced to what kids are obsessed with today….electronics,” reads the official synopsis.

Who won’t be featured in Toy Story 5?

Last year, reports about Anna Faris‘s casting in Toy Story 5 started circulating online. Now, the Scary Movie star has finally addressed her rumored casting, confirming that she is not part of the upcoming Pixar movie’s official voice cast. Speaking with Variety, Faris admitted that she wished her Toy Story 5 casting rumor were true because she loves doing voice work after previously starring in the popular Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Alvin and the Chipmunks franchises.

“No, that’s just a rumor. I’m not in it. I wish I was. I love doing voice work, but no, that was an internet rumor,” Faris clarified. “My mom and dad called me, and they’re like, ‘You’re in it?’ I was like, ‘No, but I wish I was.'”

Toy Story 5 is directed by Andrew Stanton (Finding Nemo) and Kenna Harris, with Lindsey Collins serving as a producer. The next installment will also feature the voices of Tom Hanks as Woody, Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, Joan Cusack as Jessie, Greta Lee as Lilypad, Conan O’Brien as Smarty Pants, and Tony Hale as Forky. Joining them are John Ratzenberger as Hamm, Wallace Shawn as Rex, Blake Clark as Slinky Dog, Jeff Bergman as Mr. Potato Head, Anna Vocino as Mrs. Potato Head, Annie Potts as Bo Peep, Bonnie Hunt as Dolly, Melissa Villaseñor as Karen Beverly, John Hopkins as Mr. Pricklepants, Kristen Schaal as Trixie, Ernie Hudson as Combat Carl, Keanu Reeves as Duke Caboom, Craig Robinson as Atlas, Shelby Rabara as Snappy, Scarlett Spears as Bonnie, Mykal-Michelle Harris as Blaze, and Matty Matheson as Dr. Nutcase.
