What Channing Tatum action movies are now available on Peacock?
Beginning today, 2012’s 21 Jump Street and 2014’s 22 Jump Street are now officially streaming on Peacock. The blockbuster franchise served as a movie remake of the classic police procedural series from the late 1980s, which starred Johnny Depp. The story begins with two police officers tasked to disguise themselves as teenagers for an undercover assignment. Besides Tatum, both movies were also led by Academy Award nominee Jonah Hill. They were joined by Ice Cube, Brie Larson, Dave Franco, Rob Riggle, Chris Parnell, Jake Johnson, Nick Offerman, Wyatt Russell, Amber Stevens, Jillian Bell, Craig Roberts, and more.
“When cops Schmidt and Jenko join the secret Jump Street unit, they use their youthful appearances to go undercover as high-school students. They trade in their guns and badges for backpacks and set out to shut down a dangerous drug ring. But, as time goes on, Schmidt and Jenko discover that high school is nothing like it was just a few years earlier — and, what’s more, they must again confront the teenage terror and anxiety they thought they had left behind,” reads the first installment’s synopsis.
The 2012 and 2014 movies were both directed by The Lego Movie’s Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with the first one serving as their live-action feature directorial debuts. The franchise received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. Both movies currently have Certified Fresh scores on Rotten Tomatoes.
