Noah Kahan Netflix Movie Gets Trailer Ahead of Streaming Debut
Netflix has shared the official trailer for Out of Body, the upcoming acclaimed movie starring Grammy nominee Noah Kahan. He first gained recognition for his breakout song, “Hurt Somebody.” The documentary is now slated to start streaming on April 13, 2026.
“As a career-defining chapter propels him into global stardom, musician Noah Kahan stands at a crossroads. In the wake of the breakout success of Stick Season—an album born from the quiet of rural Vermont and embraced around the world—Noah begins work on his follow-up album while facing the mounting pressure of what comes next,” reads the synopsis. “Over a whirlwind year of sold-out tours and unprecedented acclaim, he returns to his Vermont roots and family. Buoyed by his uncanny wit, he searches for a sense of home and creative inspiration as he confronts the deeply personal struggles that have left him out of sync with himself.”

What happens in Noah Kahan’s Out of Body trailer?
The video highlights Kahan’s life on tour following the success of his third studio album “Stick Season.” It also teases his emotional journey to writing his next album, titled “The Great Divide,” which brings him back to his roots in Vermont. The trailer also shows a glimpse of him and his family, sharing their reactions to his songs about them. He will also open up about a lot of the personal things that have inspired him to write his songs.
The Out of Body documentary is directed by Nick Sweeney (Santa Camp, AKA Jane Roe), who also served as the director of photography alongside Asher Brown, Noah Collier, and James Adolphus. The creative team also included Paul Little and Ana Veselic. The documentary had its world premiere at the 2026 SXSW Film Festival, where it won the 24 Beats Per Second Audience Award.
The film is produced by Samantha Mustari, Dave Sirulnick, Stacey Reiss, Ryan Kroft, Vaughn Trudeau, Anna Keegan, David Blackman, Jeff Ludwig, and Devon Libran.
