Dwayne Johnson’s Jumanji 3 Gets Best Report From Set
Jumanji 3, starring Dwayne Johnson, has received a positive update ahead of its release later this year. It is expected to be the final film in the trilogy that launched in 2017 with Welcome to the Jungle and continued with The Next Level. It is also the fifth and last one overall in the franchise that began in 1995 with the late Robin Williams’ fantasy adventure.
Jumanji 3 with Dwayne Johnson has wrapped filming
Dwayne Johnson recently took to Instagram to celebrate the conclusion of Jumanji 3’s filming. He shared a photo carousel, which included an image of himself and his co-stars, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black, posing for a picture. It also included multiple black-and-white photos capturing key moments from filming. It was accompanied by a lengthy caption, in which the actor expressed gratitude for a fun filming experience.
“An official FINAL wrap on one of the most fun and pure creative joy experiences I’ve ever had in my entire career – the adventure of JUMANJI,” Johnson wrote. “I’m a grateful and lucky sob to have had a front row seat to witness this insanely talented cast showcase their comedy chops combined with heart and mana across this 10 year+ long adventure.”
The Black Adam actor then praised his director, Jake Kasdan. He called the opportunity to experience his direction a “privilege.” Johnson followed this up by paying tribute to Robin Williams, saying the final film was for the latter. He further stated, “The character of Dr Smolder Bravestone was my absolute honor to play in your spirit with the deepest respect, love and JOY.”
Jumanji 3 premieres in theaters on Christmas Day, December 25, 2026. Originally scheduled for December 11, its date was pushed back to avoid box office clashes with Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three, both launching on December 18.
Jake Kasdan directed the movie from his, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg’s script. He also co-produced it with Johnson, Dany and Hiram Garcia, and Matt Tolmach.
Apart from Johnson, Hart, Gillan, and Black, the movie stars Marin Hinkle, Danny DeVito, Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, Nick Jonas, Awkwafina, Brittany O’Grady, Burn Gorman, and Dan Hildebrand, among others.
