Zendaya To Go ‘Into Hiding’ After MCU, The Odyssey, Dune 3, and More Releases
Zendaya is about to have the biggest year of her career, with several major movies slated for release in 2026. But the actress is already warning fans that after this whirlwind run, she plans to step away from the spotlight entirely.
Zendaya hints she’s taking a break after a packed 2026
Zendaya is set to dominate Hollywood this year, but she admitted that this level of visibility comes with a cost. After a year that includes massive blockbusters like The Odyssey and Dune 3, as well as a return to the MCU, the actress is planning a strategic retreat from the constant attention.
The MCU star said she is worried about oversaturation but is really grateful for the support she has received throughout her career. “I just hope people don’t get sick of me, and I really appreciate everyone who supports any of the movies [and] supports my career in any kind of way. I’m deeply appreciative,” she shared with Fandango.
She added a clear warning about her future availability, stating, “I just hope you guys don’t get sick of me this year because I’ll tell you what, after this, I’m disappearing for a little bit. I’m going to have to go into hiding for just a little bit.” The year kicks off for her with The Drama, set to hit theaters on April 3.
Directed by Kristoffer Borgli, the film features Zendaya as Emma, a bookstore clerk engaged to Robert Pattinson’s character, Charlie. Their relationship goes through drama just days before their wedding when unsettling truths come to light.
Immediately following that release, Zendaya returns to television. HBO has set the premiere date for Euphoria Season 3 to April 12, where she reprises her Emmy-winning role as Rue. Then she stars in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, before immediately pivoting to the MCU. She will star alongside Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which opens on July 31. The year concludes with another sci-fi epic, Dune 3.
So for now, fans can look forward to an unprecedented year of performances before Zendaya takes her well-earned hiatus.
