Jack Black shares fiery idea for Minecraft and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie crossover

Jack Black recently chatted with Entertainment Tonight, where he shared an idea for a crossover project between A Minecraft Movie and The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.

The journalist asked Black what he would do if he possessed the fire-breathing power of his Super Mario Galaxy Movie character, Bowser. In his reply, the actor stated, “Here’s the weird thing, I think I’d get some raw chickens… and just blaze them. And then it’s like a crossover…” He then started singing and added, “I might get in trouble with the Minecraft people if I start singing this. I wrote it! I think I get to use it! There you go. It’s Bowser’s Lava Chicken.”

Black’s A Minecraft Movie, based on the popular video game, came out last year. Apart from Black, the movie featured stars such as Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, and others. The movie turned the theaters into chaos with its viral scenes. Moreover, it also broke many box-office records.

The film opened with $162 million at the box office and went on to gross around $424 million at the domestic box office. In the international box office, A Minecraft Movie earned approximately $537 million, bringing its total collection to $961 million.

Recently, Black also expressed his desire to work on another video game adaptation of the Yakuza games. He told Screenrant, “I’m going to throw my hat in that ring. I don’t know if there [are] any parts for me, like a portly American, but talk to me. Sega, give me a jingle.”
