Anya Taylor-Joy Reveals Which Movie Was an ‘Absolute Dream Job’
Anya Taylor-Joy recently revealed what her “dream job” was in a recent interview. With the release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie in April and Dune 3 at the end of this year, the actress appears to be gearing up for a big year ahead. She also shared how she felt as she wrapped up filming on Denis Villeneuve’s film.
Anya Taylor-Joy recalls how she reacted to wrapping of Dune 3
During the red carpet interview at The Super Mario Galaxy Movie premiere, Anya Taylor-Joy was asked about her role in Dune: Part Three.
“It’s my absolute dream job,” the actress told Entertainment Tonight. “I bawled my eyes out when we wrapped that movie. And I saw that trailer again, and I was like, ‘Oh. This is going to be a time.’” The interviewer then asked Taylor-Joy about her role, which seemed “meaty” in Dune 3. However, the actress remained tight-lipped, nodding with a smile.
The Furiosa star is one of the newest additions to the cast of Dune 3. She will be portraying Alia, the daughter of Lady Jessica and the sister of Paul Atreides. She had a brief cameo at the end of Dune: Part Two, in which Paul had a vision of Alia in a Fremen stillsuit.
Dune 3 will adapt Frank Herbert’s 1969 novel Dune Messiah, which is the second book in the series. Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, and Josh Brolin will reprise their respective roles. Alongside Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson is also new to the franchise and will be portraying Scytale.
Denis Villeneuve directed and co-wrote the screenplay for the upcoming film, which will mark the end of his planned trilogy. Currently, the film is scheduled for release on December 18, the same day as Avengers: Doomsday.
Meanwhile, Anya Taylor-Joy returned to voice her role, Princess Peach, in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. It will debut in theaters on April 1, 2026. It will also feature the voices of Chris Pratt, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, Glen Powell, Brie Larson, Donald Glover, and Luis Guzmán.
