Man of Tomorrow: Possible Maxima Star Reacts to DCU Casting Rumors
Eva De Dominici has broken her silence about the rumors suggesting she’s playing Maxima in Man of Tomorrow.
DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures’ Man of Tomorrow is scheduled to arrive in United States theaters in 2027. Written and directed by James Gunn, the movie serves as a follow-up to 2025’s Superman, which was also written and directed by Gunn. David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult reprise their respective roles as Clark Kent/Superman and Lex Luthor.
What did Eva De Dominici say about Man of Tomorrow?
There have been rumors floating around that Maxima — a DC character created by Roger Stern and George Pérez who was first introduced in 1989’s Action Comics #645 — will show up in Man of Tomorrow, though this has not been confirmed by Gunn. While there are several celebrity names that are rumored to be attached to the role, one that continues to pop up is Eva De Dominici.
De Dominici is an Argentine model who has appeared in a handful of movies, including 2021’s Cosmic Sin, 2024’s The Uninvited, 2025’s Forge, and more. She’ll be appearing in Peter Farrelly’s new comedy movie, Balls Up, which arrives on Prime Video next month, while she’s also appeared in several TV shows, including Hawaii Five-0, The Cleaning Lady, and more.
Appearing on Antes Que Nadie, per DC Films News on Twitter, De Dominici responded to rumors of her playing Maxima in the DCU by saying, “I would love to work with James Gunn. That’s the only thing… I’m a big fan… and at some point I’d love to play a superhero. It’s one of my dreams.”
This neither confirms nor denies that De Dominici is playing Maxima in Man of Tomorrow. Apart from Corenswet and Hoult, the known cast of the movie includes Lars Eidinger as Brainiac, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart.
Man of Tomorrow will be released on July 9, 2027.
