Send Help’s Alternate Ending Adds 1 More Intense Confrontation to Rachel McAdams Movie

Following the digital release of Send Help, 20th Century Studios has shared a deleted scene from Sam Raimi‘s latest horror movie showing an alternative ending to the theatrical cut. This comes ahead of the film’s 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray and DVD release on April 21.

“When two business colleagues become stranded on a deserted island as the only survivors of a plane crash, they must overcome past grievances and work together to stay alive. But they’re not in the office anymore, and an unsettling, wryly humorous battle of wills and wits begins in this original, darkly comedic psychological thriller,” reads the official synopsis.

What happens in the Send Help alternate ending?

Per EW, the new video teases an intense confrontation between Rachel McAdams‘s character, Linda, and Dennis Haysbert’s Franklin. The latter tries to blackmail Linda with the information he learned about Bradley’s fiancée, Zuri. However, Linda remains unfazed as she subtly threatens him back. Since its debut, the film has received an approval rating of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 271 reviews.

Send Help was directed by Raimi, with Damian Shannon and Mark Swift co-writing the screenplay. The movie also stars Dylan O’Brien, Xavier Samuel, Chris Pang, Bruce Campbell, Thaneth Warakulnukroh, Edyll Ismail, and more. During its theatrical run, the film grossed around $93 million at the global box office.

The film was produced by Raimi and Zainab Azizi, with JJ Hook serving as an executive producer. The creative team included cinematographer Bill Pope, editor Bob Murawski, production designer Ian Gracie, and costume designer Anna Cahill. It also featured original music by composer Danny Elfman.
