Chris Pratt’s Divisive $267 Million Movie Streams on Hulu Today
Chris Pratt‘s divisive comedy movie from Sony Pictures has finally found a new streaming home. Despite receiving negative reviews from critics, the 2024 movie still managed to score a good Popcornmeter rating of 78% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Beginning today, Pratt’s blockbuster animated comedy The Garfield Movie is now officially available to stream on Hulu. During its theatrical run, the film grossed over $267 million at the worldwide box office against its reported budget of around $60 million. Besides the Guardians of the Galaxy star, it also featured the voices of Samuel L. Jackson as Vic, Hannah Waddingham as Jinx, Ving Rhames as Otto, Nicholas Hoult as Jon, Cecily Strong as Marge, Harvey Guillén as Odie, Brett Goldstein as Roland, Bowen Yang as Nolan, Snoop Dogg as Maurice, Janelle James as Olivia, and the late Angus Cloud as Snickers.
“Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist,” reads the official synopsis.
The Garfield Movie was directed by Mark Dindal, with Paul A. Kaplan, Mark Torgove, and David Reynolds writing the screenplay. It was based on Jim Davis’ iconic comic strip Garfield. The film was produced by John Cohen, Broderick Johnson, Andrew A. Kosove, Namit Malhotra, Craig Sost, and Steven P. Wegner. Due to its commercial success, the studio has already started development on its sequel, with Pratt set to return.
