Spider-Man 4 Trailer Reveals Peter’s Complete Letter to MJ in No Way Home

A key detail from the latest Spider-Man trailer unveils Peter Parker’s full letter to M.J. from Spider-Man: No Way Home. It offers a glimpse into what Tom Holland’s character wanted to tell his love interest, played by Zendaya, but opted against it, following the memory wipe in the third Spider-Man film.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer reveals Peter’s complete letter to MJ

The upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day brings back one of the most heartbreaking threads from Spider-Man: No Way Home: Peter’s decision to walk away from M.J. following Doctor Strange’s memory wipe. This time, fans get to see what he originally planned to tell her through a deeply personal letter.

In the revealed text, Peter Parker introduces himself again, knowing M.J. no longer remembers him. He explains their past, the danger to the world, and why he had to make everyone forget him. The letter builds to a simple but emotional truth: “I love you… and I hope that deep down, something inside you remembers you love me too.”

The moment ties directly back to the events of No Way Home. To stop the arrival of even more threats from other universes, Peter asked Doctor Strange to cast a spell that erased him from everyone’s memory. That included M.J. and Ned, leaving Peter completely alone despite everything they shared previously.

The new film continues that storyline while expanding the cast. Tom Holland returns as Spider-Man, alongside Zendaya as M.J. and Jacob Batalon as Ned. New additions include Sadie Sink, while familiar MCU faces like Mark Ruffalo and Jon Bernthal also appear. Ruffalo’s return as Bruce Banner is drawing the most attention. In the trailer, he warns Peter, “If DNA is mutating, it could be enormously dangerous.”

The emotional weight of Peter’s letter is already resonating. Many fans are calling it a defining moment for the character, capturing both his sacrifice and the loneliness that comes with being the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
