Spider-Man: Brand New Day Breaks Huge Record After Trailer Release

The Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer has broken a huge record.

Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day, also known as Spider-Man 4, will be released in United States theaters this summer. Directed by Wonder Man and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ Destin Daniel Cretton, the movie will once again see Tom Holland reprise his MCU role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

What record did the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer break?

The first Spider-Man: Brand New Day footage was released yesterday, and, per Variety, it has already become the most-watched trailer of all time. It received 718.6 million views within 24 hours.

“The Spidey trailer broke the previous record held by Deadpool and Wolverine, which had 365 million views,” the article notes. “In just eight hours, the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer had 373 million views — already breaking the 2024 record by Deadpool and Wolverine. Coincidentally, the third Deadpool movie had jumped the 2021 Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer, which had 355.5 million views in 24 hours, to put itself in the record books.

“Not only does Spider-Man: Brand New Day have the biggest movie trailer in history, it’s the biggest trailer, period. It surpasses last year’s trailer for the hotly anticipated video game Grand Theft Auto VI, which pulled in 475 million views in 24 hours to become the biggest video trailer ever — until now.”

In addition to Holland, the cast of Spider-Man 4 includes Zendaya as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/Punisher, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando as Mac Gargan/Scorpion, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, and Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone.

The synopsis reads, “Four years have passed since the events of No Way Home, and Peter is now an adult living entirely alone, having voluntarily erased himself from the lives and memories of those he loves. Crime-fighting in a New York that no longer knows his name, he’s devoted himself entirely to protecting his city — a full-time Spider-Man — but as the demands on him intensify, the pressure sparks a surprising physical evolution that threatens his existence, even as a strange new pattern of crimes gives rise to one of the most powerful threats he has ever faced.”

Marvel‘s Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives on July 31, 2026.
