Destiny’s Child Alum Reacts to Terrence Howard’s Passing on Beyoncé Claims

Former Destiny’s Child alum set the record straight on earlier claims made by Terrence Howard about dating a member of Destiny’s Child. The star confirmed that she and Howard did go on a few friendly outings, but never pursued anything romantic. These comments come in light of Howard’s claim that he passed on Beyoncé to date another Destiny’s Child member.

Farrah Franklin addresses Terrence Howard’s claims about Beyoncé

During a conversation with PEOPLE, Franklin, who joined Destiny’s Child in the 2000s, addressed Howard’s claim of having dated another member of the girl group. She said, “I’m Farrah with the natural green eyes (not Blue lol), and I can confirm that Terrence and I had a few friendly outings—nothing romantic.” She revealed that they went to the studio a few times while describing Howard as a “super talented” guy.  “I won’t speculate on anything else that was said, and as always, I wish everyone well and remain focused on my own journey,” she elaborated.

Franklin’s clarification comes amid Howard’s remarks on the PBD podcast, where he shared details about his dating life. He revealed that he had a chance to date Beyoncé but clicked with another girl from Destiny’s Child. “We had a conversation, you know, and I ended up talking to the other girl inside of, you know, Destiny [’s Child]. The girl with the blue eyes,” he explained. He didn’t disclose the identity of the girl he claimed he talked to.

In the same conversation, he claimed that Beyoncé picked him up specifically at the 2005 BET Awards for her stage work to show him what he missed out on. “I remember Beyoncé looking over at me, and I think that’s why she picked me to do that dance, when she did the kind of strip tease dance that we did at BET or whatever, to show me what I had lost,” he added, describing the events of the award show performance.
