Send Help Digital, 4K, & Blu-ray Release Dates Set for Rachel McAdams Survival Movie
20th Century Studios has announced the digital, 4K, and DVD release dates for Send Help, the highly rated survival horror movie from Evil Dead director Sam Raimi. Since its debut, the film has received a Certified Fresh score of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 271 reviews.
“When two business colleagues become stranded on a deserted island as the only survivors of a plane crash, they must overcome past grievances and work together to stay alive. But they’re not in the office anymore, and an unsettling, wryly humorous battle of wills and wits begins in this original, darkly comedic psychological thriller,” reads the official synopsis.
When are the digital, 4K, and Blu-ray release dates for Send Help?
Send Help will be available to rent or own on digital platforms starting on March 24. It will then be followed by its 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray and DVD release on April 21. The digital and physical releases are expected to feature over two hours of extensive bonus content, including early versions of key scenes, behind-the-scenes looks at production and sound design, and entertaining bloopers from the set.
The movie also stars Rachel McAdams, Dylan O’Brien, Dennis Haysbert, Xavier Samuel, Chris Pang, Bruce Campbell, Thaneth Warakulnukroh, Edyll Ismail, and more. During its theatrical run, the film earned a gross of around $93 million at the global box office.
Send Help was directed by Raimi, with Damian Shannon and Mark Swift co-writing the screenplay. The film was produced by Raimi and Zainab Azizi, with JJ Hook serving as an executive producer. The creative team included cinematographer Bill Pope, editor Bob Murawski, production designer Ian Gracie, and costume designer Anna Cahill. It also featured original music by composer Danny Elfman.
