The action sequel Nobody 2 has made a strong impression on streaming following its recent arrival on Netflix. Within days of its release on the platform, the film reached the number one spot on the U.S. Top 10 movies list on March 16, 2026, according to FlixPatrol. In doing so, it moved ahead of several high-profile movies, including War Machine, Nuremberg, Jurassic World Rebirth, Trap House, and KPop Demon Hunters.

Directed by Timo Tjahjanto, the film premiered in theaters across the United States on August 15, 2025, from Universal Pictures. It later became available for streaming on March 14, 2026. The project continues the story established in Nobody, the 2021 film directed by Ilya Naishuller.

The story follows Hutch Mansell, played by Bob Odenkirk, a former government assassin trying to live a quiet life with his family. However, he is still tied to his past and continues taking on assignments through his handler to repay the money he owes. After finishing his latest job, Hutch convinces his wife and children to go on a vacation to the small town of Plummerville in an effort to spend time together.

However, the trip does not go as planned. Hutch soon gets caught in trouble involving a corrupt theme park operator, a local sheriff, and a violent crime boss. As the situation worsens, he is forced to rely on his old skills once again to protect his family. The film also features Connie Nielsen as Becca Mansell, John Ortiz as Wyatt Martin, Colin Hanks as Abel, and RZA as Harry Mansell, among others.

Alongside its streaming success, the film has received a positive response. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a 76 percent critics’ score and an 88 percent audience rating.
