Dhurandhar gets a rare international rerelease before The Revenge
Dhurandhar will return to theaters worldwide on March 12, 2026, according to Deadline. Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the production companies behind the feature, will release the movie on 500 screens worldwide, including 250 in India and 185 in North America. The screenings will predominantly happen in halls with large-format screens and luxury seating.
This will take place right before its sequel, Dhurandhar the Revenge, debuts in the US and Canada on March 18, a day before it comes out in India and other markets.
Aditya Dhar directed both Dhurandhar and its sequel. The first film’s cast includes Singh as Hamza Ali Mazari / Jaskirat Singh Rangi, Akshaye Khanna as Rehman Dakait, Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, R. Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, Sara Arjun as Yalina Jamali, Rakesh Bedi as Jameel Jamali, Danish Pandor as Uzair Baloch, Manav Gohil as Sushant Bansal, Bimal Oberoi as Shirani, Saumya Tandon as Ulfat, and Gaurav Gera as Mohammed Aalam.
The original feature revolves around Hamza, an Indian operative who infiltrates the criminal underbelly of Karachi, Pakistan. Its ending discloses the truth about Hamza and perfectly sets up the sequel.
As mentioned above, Dhurandhar was a massive success, becoming the highest-grossing Hindi movie in India (via Variety). The sequel is one of the most highly anticipated movies of this year. Its log line reads, “As rival gangs, corrupt officials and a ruthless Major Iqbal close in, Hamza’s mission for his country spirals into a bloody personal war where the line between patriot and monster disappears in the streets of Lyari.”
Notably, Dhurandhar is also available for streaming on Netflix.
