Him to arrive on Netflix next month

2025’s Him will begin streaming on Netflix from Sunday, April 19, 2026.

It is directed by Justin Tipping, who co-wrote the script with Skip Bronkie and Zack Akers. Jordan Peele co-produced the movie under his company, Monkeypaw Productions. Due to an exclusive contract, all movies produced under his banner are distributed by Universal Pictures. As a result, after the theatrical release, Him streamed exclusively on Peacock for a certain time. Now, it’s preparing to move to Netflix.

The story follows Cameron “Cam” Cade, a talented young quarterback whose dreams of becoming a professional are shattered after a masked stranger attacks him, leaving him with a career-ending injury. However, he sees hope when his idol, Isaiah White, offers to train him for a week. But upon reaching his desert compound, Cam begins to experience bizarre incidents, leading to a dark realization about his mentor.

Him’s cast includes Marlon Wayans as Isaiah, Tyriq Withers as Cam, Austin Pulliam as Young Cam, Julia Fox as Elsie, Tim Heidecker as Tom, and Jim Jefferies as Marco, among others.

Released on September 19, 2025, the movie opened to mixed-to-negative reception. It currently has a 31% Tomatometer score and 56% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes. On Metacritic, it has a weighted average of 38 based on 35 critics and 4.7 based on 69 users. Furthermore, the movie earned a total of $27.8 million from global markets (via Box Office Mojo).

Bobby Krlic composed the score for the film. He is known for his work in projects like Midsommar, Beau is Afraid, Beef, Blue Beetle, and, recently, Prime Video’s The Wrecking Crew.
